The Staff Hunter, CEO Lilla Hunter-Taylor has been nominated for the Washington Business Journal's Minority Business Leader Award for 2012.
This program recognizes the Washington region's top 25 minority business leaders based on demonstrated business success over the past 12 to 18 months.
Lilla Hunter-Taylor expresses that, " to be nominated for an award like this is really exciting, being a business leader doesn't necessarily mean how much revenue you generate, but how you and your business helps the community, if we don't win these prestigous award, being rcognized in the local business world is recognition enough, especially since we're still relatively a new company".
Mrs. Taylor has spoken on Capitol Hill in regards to the Paycheck Fairness Act and The White House regarding Minority Women Owned Businesses. Mrs. Taylor also spoke at the Woodrow Wilson Institute for Scholars regarding Women Entrepreneurship. Women and Entrepreneurship: Perspectives from the Middle East and the United States .
The Washington Business Journal will recognize the Minority Business Leaders at a luncheon on March 16, 2012.
