Miracle Bebe, an advocacy website devotes it's volunteer efforts to focus on bringing joy to the NICU's around the country. Made for a Miracle is in it's second year, and provides a biannual distribution of hand-made items to the NICU's around the world. Preemie hats, blankets and now scrapbooking pages will fill the NICU with much joy this season. Are you able to help?
In December of 2008, ‘Made for a Miracle’ launched it’s first volunteerism efforts. Centrally located in Omaha, Nebraska, one mother of a premature infant and volunteers from surrounding states joined in to make the holiday stay in the NICU at Children’s Hospital, just a little brighter. Greeted by Santa Claus, the infants received hand-made hats and blankets Christmas packaging and filled with expressions of compassion. Each gift was delivered to the NICU parents and their preemies. Their mission includes proviing joy at the holidays to the NeoNatal Intensive Care Units around the world.
Miracle Bebe is a website filled with resources, products and services that focus on premature infants and their families. Resources include preemie scrapbooking, a NICU journal 'A Journey to Home', Preemie Stories and more. Made for a Miracle is located on the web at www.madeforamiracle.com or visit the mother site:: www.miraclebebe.com. Miracle Bebe is seeking volunteers around the country to create hand-made items, as well as to deliver hand made items. Directions and video tutorials are available for any volunteer. Donations of yarn, gift packaging, and more are always welcomed. For contact information, please email: info@miraclebebe.com or visit the website. Please help to bring the holiday cheer to the families and babies touched by prematurity.
