When it comes to in-car infotainment, it doesn’t get much better than Blue Link!

The Blue Link System will use the Web, human operators, and data hardware inside the car to fuse mapping and mobile services and enable them via voice commands. The system can be controlled by buttons on the rearview mirror, by controls on the vehicle's steering wheel, or through the LCD touchscreen (on cars with navigation). While searching and using the system, drivers will be able to scroll through five options. If voice commands aren’t able to help you find you what you’re looking for, the system will connect you to a live concierge at a call center who can help with your search. In this sense, Blue Link is a stepping stone into cloud-based information services.

Blue Link will make its debut later this year in the Miami Gardens 2012 Hyundai Sonata as well as in the 2012 Hyundai Veloster three-door coupe. The system will come in three packages: Assurance, Essentials, and Guidance. Assurance will include basic safety features; Essentials will enable features for remote access, convenience, vehicle self diagnostics, theft protection, and safeguard; Guidance will give advice on how to get places and what you’ll find when you get there.
