Miss Black California 2011 Constance Reese is scheduled to make a special appearance this Friday at what is sure to be a spectacular event. Living Stone Cathedral of Worship (located in Little Rock, California) will host its annual Christmas production Mercy: A Christmas Love Story on the evening of Friday December 16th at 7:00. “I am so excited to attend the play, the very first time I ever performed in an on stage production was with this production group as an adolescent. This will be my first time back on that stage since, and I could not be more thrilled” Reese states. She will be on hand to welcome the crowd at the top of the show with the Bishop of the church- Bishop Henry Hearns. “Bishop Hearns is not only a pillar in the community, but he is a shining light and an incredible role model.” The Bishop’s daughter, Sylvia is the director and writer of the annual Christmas production and the woman Reese credits for igniting her passion for the arts. Miss Black California actually performed a monologue in the talent portion of her pageant which proved to be quite successful. She has a deep appreciation for theater and is particularly drawn to pieces with a powerful, insightful, and uplifting message. “Bishop, Ms. Sylvia, and the entire church body are such encouraging people, always giving back to the community and discovering ways to touch the lives of others; Mercy: A Christmas Love Story is yet another medium they can use to deliver a strong message to the masses” Reese shares. Tickets to the production can be purchased for $10 through Living Stone Cathedral of Worship.
The Miss Black California Organization relies on generous volunteers and sponsors to function effectively.
