ATLANTA, GA - The widely read Miss Judys corner which was overwhelmed with Prayer requests this past Thursday on National Prayer Day delivers her Mother's Day message today. Miss Judy is a mother and grandmother and gives healing advice to those that have lost their mothers and are mourning them on this special day.
GoDaddy.com is still attempting to suspend Miss Judy's account forcing her to spend more money on a single server server site and her supporters are working hard to help out with this so she can continue helping people with her healing words that have helped tens of thousands of people.
An excerpt of today's message is below and for more you can visit http://missjudyscorner.com
I want to start off by wishing my mother and all other mothers, a very happy mother’s day. May God bless you all…
I didn’t know the history of Mother’s Day so I looked it up for everyone since I’m sure there are plenty like me that didn’t really know how it got started. It’s nice that it did though!
In the United States Mother’s Day started 150 years ago, when Anna Jarvis, an Appalachian homemaker, organized a day to raise awareness of poor health condition in her community, a cause she believe would be best advocated by mother’s. She called it “mother’s work day” so even then our days were still work days. Fifteen years later, Julia Ward Howe, a Boston poet, pacifist, suffragist and author of the lyrics to the “Battle Hymn of the Republic,” organized a day encouraging mothers to rally for peace, since she believe they bore the loss of human life more harshly than anyone else.
In 1905 when Anna Jarvis died, her daughter also named Anna began a campaign to memorialize the life work of her mother. That is one of the best things a child can do for their parent, carrying forth their message and love. Legend has it that young Anna remembered a sunday school lesson that her mother gave in which she said,” I hope and pray that some, sometime will found a special memorial Mother’s Day. There are many days for men, but none for mothers.” Shortly afterward Anna began to lobby prominent businessmen like John Wannamaker, and politicians including President Taft and Roosevelt to support her campaign to create a special day to honor mothers.
