MO. - New Maxi-Single out now, "It`s No Good - A tribute to Depeche Mode"

(Free-Press-Release.com) May 5, 2010 -- The Bulgarian native electropop artist MO. will be returning to the world’s music scene with a new maxi single on May 13th, when „It's No Good (A Tribute To Depeche Mode)” will be released in digital.

Eccentric and eclectic, MO.’s new project is an interpretation inspired by the legendary hit of Depeche Mode from their album “Ultra”, released in 1997 and written by the band’s heart&soul Martin L. Gore.

On the day of its world premiere the project will be released in two versions - the first one in two parts and the second with club remixes only, intended for the DJ’s and the lovers of electronic sound.

This is not a standard cover version but instead, a completely changed in composition acoustic version with music by MO., based on motives of Martin L. Gore’s lyrics, recorded live and accompanied by classic piano and acoustic guitar.

The vocals have been interpreted both in down and alternatively higher tempos, recorded for the various remixes for the maxi single.


Part one presents “It’s No Good” as a dramatic acoustic down tempo composition in a classic new wave style mixed with ambient, IDM and industrial elements.

The modern remixes by Pixszels, Ghostwheel and Dope Buzz contribute for the unique, individual and innovative atmosphere of the song.

In the acoustic version the piano is played by the pop singer Stratia, the acoustic guitar is played by Kamen Aleksandrov from the alternative band Skre4 and the recording and the mastering are done by Hristo Karagyozov at Digital Plus Studio, Sofia.

In Part Two of the maxi single as well in the edit intended for the dance-club online stores, the remixes are with a higher tempo.

An electronic sound dominates, created by some of the most talented Bulgarian DJ’s such as Paul Legend, the ex-resident of Sofia’s Spartacus and Yalta clubs and DJ Smooke one of the owners of the Remote Zero electronic music label.

Another incredible producer involved in the project is the Bulgarian electro punk rocker Dope Buzz. For the past year, he has been producing his music in London, together with the Indian singer Shahin Badar, best known with her gorgeous oriental vocals in Prodigy’s hit “Smack My Bitch Up”, as well as with her collaborations with Tim DeLuxe and 50 Cent.

The video single version is remixed by Monophonique in an electropop clash retro wave style.

Monophonique is an experimental project driven by Dope Buzz and MO. themselves. They released their debut single “Hear Me” at the end of 2009 under Invitro Independent Music / KVZ Music, again only in digital format with club remixes.

The only foreign production in the project is a remix done by the German electro pioneer Dr. Scissors aka. Edgar 9000 who has produced the brilliant It Is Rhythm Club Mix with MO.’s alternative high tempo vocals especially for the club edition which includes instrumentals of some of the versions.

„It's No Good (A Tribute To Depeche Mode)” is being released by MO.’s label Invitro Independent Music. It is available in digital at all major platforms for music download such as iTUNES, Amazon, Beatport, Juno Download, 7 Digital, Emusic, etc. The project is under distribution by the Austrian label for Bulgarian music KVZ Music and the Bulgarian label Silvernoise in the following tracklist:
