Skinny Tire Festival for all fans of road bicycling takes place March 11 -13, 2011. Stay a day longer to catch the Banff Film Festival at the Red Devil Auditorium March 14th in the evening.

March 19 2011 The Canyonlands Half Marathon will take place on Hwy 128, a.k.a. the river road. Registration is closed for 2011, you’ll have to catch the Other Half in October or plan now to enter for the spring 2012 race.

March 27th, the Red Rock Astronomers will have telescopes out on the lawn at Old City Park at 8:30 pm to participate in the International Globe Star Count.

Dead Horse Point Park Events | Utah State Parks
Geology talks, star parties, morning bird walks, Sunset and full moon hikes, and bat lectures kicks off the interpretive line up in Dead Horse Point State Park. Begins in April.

Professional Certification & Licensing Courses for River Guides on the Colorado River and elsewhere. There are two river training courses offered by Canyonlands Field Institute. 1. River Skills covers basics for beginner guides or private rafters April 1-3, 2011. 2.Westwater Whitewater Rescue Training April 8- 10, 2011.

On various dates throughout April 1 -10, 2011 the North American Dog Agility Council will be running sanctioned agility trials for this dog sport at the Old Spanish Trail Arena. The general public is invited to spectate. Please do not bring a pet that is not registered for the competition.

Look for live entertainment by the Knitting Factory at Star Hall on Center Street in Moab April 5&6, 2011. That weekend April 7-12 2011 Rolando Gomez is shooting Glamor Photography and holding a workshop. The workshop is SOLD OUT. The Moab Marathon is executed on April 9, 2011, paced from Hwy 313 to the Lion’s Park at the river bridge and Hwy 191. The next weekend, Grass Roots events has a new race on the AMASA trail scheduled for April 16. The February Red Hot 50 sold out this year.

Adventure Rabbi Passover April 16 -18 2011 Passover Seder & Retreat beside the Colorado River in the Moab desert. Campfire reception Saturday night and Havdallah, group hiking Sunday and highlights a three mile round trip Seder hike on Monday to Corona Arch. Special kid’s program on Sunday morning taught by a student rabbi.

April 28- May 1 2011 The Moab Spring Quarter Horse show is held in the Old Spanish Trail Arena. The facility has stalls for 196 horses. And plenty of parking to come out and watch.

The April Action Car Show exhibits some fine restorations at Swanny Park April 30 and May 1. Friday night lawn chairs line the Main Street as folks gather to watch the classic vehicles cruisin’ Main Street.
