The Model 5535 allows a device connected to the ROOM port to access devices connected to the SVCN, XNET, and GPCN ports.

The keylock actuator on the front panel insures that the switch remains in the set position while the key is removed. Only the person with access to the key can control the switch. An added security feature is the OFFLINE position. The combination of the key and the OFFLINE position make this switch ideal for video conference room applications requiring secure communications.

The Model 5535 is also certified for Cat5e compliance and requires no power to operate. The unit permits signals to pass uninterrupted in the SVCN, XNET, and GPCN positions or isolates in/out copper in the OFFLINE position. The switch positions for Model 5535 are securely controlled via the front panel keylock actuator and the key can only be removed in the OFFLINE position.

The Model 5535 is designed in a slim rack-mount configuration. The dimensions are 19” W x 1.75” H x 8.0” D (48.3 x 4.4 x 20.3 cm). The enclosure is an attractive anodized black box packaging that provides EMI/RFI shielding. The switch weighs approximately 4 lbs. (1.8 Kg).

The front-panel indicator LED’s on the Model 5535 will display the position status of the unit when it is linked to a powered Model 5532 Display Indicator Unit. Users can link the Model 5535 the Model 5532 via a DB9 status port on the back panel of unit. Custom port contact closures indicating the switch positions of OFF, SVCN, XNET and GPCN are then displayed on the Model 5532 in a large character alpha display to create a robust conference room communications switching system.

The Model 5532 has dimensions of 1.75” H x 6.75” D x 19” W and fits neatly in a standard 1U equipment rack. The unit weighs approximately 2.0 lbs. Model 5532 is available with an optional wide range power module that is both CE and UL listed. This power module enables the display unit to operate in worldwide applications.
