WASHINGTON, DC (Friday, February 25, 2011) – Expanding upon its national growth and growth in Massachusetts the Modern Whig Party is pleased to announce Diane Nahabedian as the new state chair for the Massachusetts chapter of the Modern Whig Party (www.modernwhig.org).
Nahabedian is a non-profit change management professional. She is co-founder of Carrnab Associates a boutique change management, global business development/investment, organizational development and communications firm working with clients to deliver step change transformation initiatives. Nahabedian is also a home school teacher. Nahbedian has been involved with the Modern Whigs in Massachusetts since aiding the campaign of Whig candidate Lalig Musserian for state house last year.
Nahabedian has already hit the ground running organizing meetings and activities for Whig members in Massachusetts. The appointment of Nahabedian as chair comes at time of expansion for the Modern Whig Party which has launched ten new active state chapters since December of last year.
Excited about her new position and opportunity to help Massachusetts Nahabedian said, "I joined the Whig Party, and am thrilled to be able to work with other voters in Massachusetts to strengthen the Whig Party. The Whigs represent a common sense approach to our local, state and national issues. We need, as a nation, to have respectful political dialogue, and that is what the Whig Party can bring to both Massachusetts and the national as a whole."
Established in 1833, the Whigs are one of America's oldest mainstream political parties. They were the original party of Abraham Lincoln and four other U.S. Presidents. Revived by Iraq and Afghanistan veterans, the grassroots movement has quickly attracted tens of thousands of members. They represent moderate voters from all walks of life that focus on a methodological approach to issues working for the most effective solution over a strict ideological approach. This Washington, DC-based national movement values common sense, rational solutions ahead of ideology and partisan bickering.
