MOGA – Memphis Obstetrics and Gynecological Association Congratulates Dr. Alok Kumar

Children’s Services at Baptist Memorial Hospital, DeSoto.

According to Dr. Fazal Manejwala, senior partner at MOGA’s DeSoto location: “Dr. Kumar has been a strong component of the MOGA medical staff since joining our practice. Two years ago, he made DeSoto County history by performing the first laparoscopic hysterectomy ever performed at Baptist DeSoto Hospital. We are very excited that he will now be representing MOGA in this important capacity.”

Dr. Kumar is a graduate of the University of Tennessee School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He attended high school at Memphis’ own White Station High School, and obtained his undergraduate degree from Duke University. Outside of the office, Dr. Kumar enjoys hiking, camping, billiards, and photography. He also enjoys working with computers, and is an avid reader of science fiction.
