Moose Pictures Shoots the Arts, ACT’s Tales of the City. Answered: “What Does a Video Cost?”

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – June 22, 2011 CliffNotes itself couldn’t beat Flying Moose Pictures (Moose Pix)’s :60 video of Cal Shakespeare Theater (Cal Shakes) critically acclaimed production of Titus Andronicus. The Moose was hired to shoot to capture the two hour and fifty-five minute play, and cut it down into two promotion videos, :60 and :30 seconds.

Tricky staging and often fast-moving actors in this high blood packet-count production, were among other challenges the Moose navigated. Titus Andronicus is an opportunity for modern audiences to get their vicarious revenge kicks out via this sophisticated black comedy that was the height of popularity in Shakespeare’s day, featuring Bay Area notable actor James Carpenter in the title role. Variety: ACT’s musical Tales of the City “A home-turf hit.” Three decades after Armistead Maupin mesmerized millions with his daily column in the city's newspapers, his iconic San Francisco saga comes home as a momentous new musical. Tales of the City unleashes an exuberant celebration of the irrepressible spirit that still defines our City by the Bay. Moose Pix shot the workshop production back in October 2010, then returned to shoot B-roll of the actual performance. Moose Pix’s video has appeared on numerous Bay Area television stations and on the ACT website. The show has been extended through July 24th. Despite the cry, “The show must go on!” bottom line, all most clients really want to know is, “How much is a video going to cost me?” Moose Pix answers that real world question with: education, education, education.
