More tourists arrive at Cuba in the 2011
The National Bureau of Statistics of Cuba (ONE) reported that international tourism at the end of the month of May 2011, registered a growth of 11.3% compared to same period of the previous year.

The National Bureau of Statistics of Cuba (ONE) reported that international tourism at the end of the month of May 2011, registered a growth of 11.3% compared to same period of the previous year to reach 1 363 760 visitors. As major emitting countries stand Canada and European countries (England, Italy, Spain, Germany and France). Of the American continent, the largest emitters, besides Canada approaching the million visitors, are Mexico, the United States and Argentina. Stands out that United States ranked eighth with 63 046 visitors throughout 2010, an increase of 20% in relation to 2009. The record of U.S. visitors is 78 789 in 2001. Forecasts indicate that Cuba will receive about 2 700 000 tourists when finishes year 2011. Tourism is one of the main income for the Cuban nation. To ensure the growth of this industry extra hotel and hotel revitalization is projected and the improvement in the quality of the services.
