My name is Mike Screens I own a boot strap manufacturer out of Chicago called Biker Boot Straps. Since I was a kid on a dirt bike the infatuation that I have with motorcycles has driven me. I have to admit that I fell into the bike building demographic just like the rest of the biker world. But just like everything else when the economy struggles spending $50,000 on a chopper doesn’t always sit well with the wife. That’s when I thought about it and realized there isn’t a lot of motorcycle TV. The American Chopper and Biker Build Off shows of yesterday are all gone. So what does a guy like me do with his TV relaxation time? Should I watch reruns of Seinfeld “not that there is anything wrong with that”.
As I started thinking about it all I really want to watch a program that shows us the back roads in Denver or a city ride in Chicago. Why can’t we see what a real biker does to prepare for a ride and who he rides with? Doesn’t anyone want to see where motorcycle people eat or go on vacation. I think we forgot what to do with our bikes after we built them. A five minute ride and a bike unveiling just don’t do it for me anymore. That’s why Biker Boot Straps is going to create “MOTORCYCLE ROAD DISCOVERY” the show that explores your local ride.

The Motorcycle Road Discovery team is going to take our camera crew to your home town and let you show us your local ride. The show is about the people, the food, and the road. While producing the show we are going to need the help of you the true riders to show us the best of the best in your home state. That’s why we are accepting ride suggestions at motorcycleroaddiscovery@gmail.com. Our crew will go the extra mile to film the true ride experience with real people and real places. We are not looking to promote a rally or ride in a poker run we are looking for a day trip with some good people. The feeling of riding at our own pace with a smaller group of friends is what the concept is all about.

The first episode is going to be my Chicago ride which we just shot for the "OWN" network. They are having a contest and the winner is able to produce their OWN show. We will have a link at the end of this article for you to connect with the video and vote. I live in Romeoville which is a suburb of Chicago and I would like to show you what it’s like to take a ride in Chicago. In this episode we will experience some neat places like Pizzeria Due and the Signature Room on the 95th Floor. The city is an exciting place with good people great food and interesting views. But enough about my local ride what about yours?

We recommend a breakfast stop to get to know each other and to introduce your friends to the viewers at home. The rest of the trip is up to you if you want to show us the fish place alongside the river or the 95th floor of your favorite building the ball is in your court. Let’s show the people at home what millions of motorcyclists do every weekend to keep us sane after the crazy work week.
