Alexandria, VA – Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), an agency of the Department of Defense, announced today Mr. Chuck Canterbury, National President of the Fraternal Order of Police, was honored with the Seven Seals Award in recognition of his support of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve mission.
According to Tom Bullock, Chef of Employer Outreach at ESGR, “The Seven Seals Award is the only ESGR award that bridges both the employer and ESGR volunteer recognition awards program. It was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide significant achievement, initiative or support that promotes and supports the ESGR mission.” “Chuck Canterbury was nominated for being highly supportive of the ESGR mission by challenging all Fraternal Order of Police Lodge Presidents to follow his lead and sign a Statement of Support for the Guard and Reserve” added Bullock.
As the 1.3 million members of the National Guard and Reserve continue to perform an increasing number of unique missions with America’s borders and beyond, ESGR will continue to be the resource for the employers of citizen warriors. ESGR recognizes outstanding support, increases awareness of the law, and resolves conflict through mediation. More information about ESGR Employer Outreach Programs and volunteer opportunities is available at www.esgr.mil, or by calling Tom Bullock at 703-696-1386 or via email tom.bullock@osd.mil.
