MTC Global Group Completes Acquisition of Hong Kong-Based Trend Star Investment Company

MTC Global Group, Ltd, the Shanghai-headquartered independent investment consultancy which provides expert advice to clients and investors around the globe. Have today announced its expansion into Hong Kong with the acquisition of Trend Star Investment, an independent financial advisory firm based in Hong Kong. The acquisition of Trend Star enhances MTC Global Group's Company presence and further strengthens its Asia Pacific capabilities, adding an established team in Hong Kong to complement the firm’s growing international business in Asia Pacific. The transaction was finalised yesterday.

Founded by Chief Executive Officer Edward Robertson, and shortly thereafter joined by Bertram Williams as Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer, Trend Star provides high-quality, independent advice to leading corporations, institutions and professional investors in the Asia Pacific region. Trend Star's capabilities include a comprehensive range of advisory services, including mergers and acquisitions, capital markets advisory, restructuring, custodian and conveyancing services.

Since its inception in early 2005, Trend Star has advised on many notable transactions in Asia Pacific, including serving as Joint Financial Advisor to Newstar Pacific on the mandatory general offer for Wing Group, and advising on corporate governance terms between Nobel Corporation and the founding shareholders of Nobel Corporation. Trend Star continues to have a growing pipeline of current business with international corporates and private equity firms across Asia.
