Mulholland Drive: My Take on David Lynch’s Movie

You can just imagine my delight when I saw a copy of Mulholland Drive lying around my brother’s sleep out when I came for a visit. If I remember right, it got an Oscar nomination. Unfortunately, I can’t remember for which category. Anyway, I thought I could fight off my drowsiness by watching David Lynch’s Mulholland Drive.

I really want to watch the movie again but I don’t want to go outside and buy DVD. This is why I decided to look on the internet to find Torrent for this movie. So I search Google on how to download this movie and luckily, when I was searching I found a site called “Areze”. You can visit the site at http://www.areze.com/ It is a torrent search engine designed to search files, movies, videos, mp3’s etc... So I searched the Mulholland Drive and download it! It is fast and easy!

After I watch the movie, it kept my head spinning. I don’t know if I was just really sleepy at that time, but I believe the movie had far too many twists in it. As much as I would like to discuss my point, I am afraid doing so might spoil the fun for others who haven’t seen the movie.

Let’s just say that the story revolves around certain characters that don’t seem to be who they seem to be. I guess this is what others might say, “Looks can be deceiving.” But thinking back, I guess all the twists in the movie do make sense. After all, a character in the story even warns the protagonists that what they were about to see were hallucinations or illusions. From then on, the plot becomes a whirlwind. Well, it was for sleepy little old me.

Despite its many twists, I actually like it to a certain degree. It makes its audiences think. These are the types of movies that I love watching on the big screen. Movies like these treat the viewers as intelligent beings, unlike some bloody murder stories, which have no story at all.
