At times it sounds like 3 or 4 acoustic guitars being played at once, but it was only GW Williams playing only 2 tracks in stereo.

I remember on an MYV concert when Stevie Ray Vaughan played unplugged, it was amazing, and I remember seeing Dan Tyminski and Ron Block playing acoustic guitars at Eric Clapton’s Cross-roads Concert….the song the Dan and Ron played was - “The Road To Nash Vegas”….an amazing display of acoustic guitar-man-ship, but it took 2 guitar players to pull off what Stevie Ray Vaughan could do all by himself.

Never since Stevie Ray Vaughan have I seen or heard of any acoustic guitar songs as great as Stevie Ray Vaughan playing un-plugged on MTV …that is until now, and GW Williams new style.

GW Williams can play anything on electric or acoustic guitar both, and his song - Acoustic Guitar Blues”, along with another song he recorded also called, “Acoustic Guitar Rock N Roll Blast Off”, push the limits of the acoustic guitar to the max.
Both those songs have that true acoustic guitar sound and where recorded on an Ovation Legend 1717 Deep Bowl Guitar….you can’t buy those guitars anymore !!

Never have I heard any guitar sound like this, the sound is so acoustical perfect that maybe Ovation will start building those guitars again, which where discontinued in the mid 1980’s….but some how GW Williams owns one of them…and he also owns another 1777 LX Ovation Legend which he uses in concerts with his electric guitars.
But it’s that Ovation Legend 1717 from the 1980’s that’s worth a ton of money, one sold on e-bay in excellent condition for $30,000.00 and GW Williams owns one himself in excellent condition !!


Personally I love GW‘s song - “Acoustic Guitar Blues”, it’s interesting to note…that the song is becoming an American Standard by which all other acoustic guitar songs are compared.

Yet it’s also interesting to note, that GW Williams only wrote the song - “Acoustic Guitar Blues “, as a filler song for one of his 2009 albums,and yet he had no way of knowing he created one of the best acoustic guitar songs of all time.
When asking GW Williams about that song he replied, " I heard the song was popular,but truly I never dreamed it would become so big, and at the time I recorded it , I just needed a song to help fill in my album, so I wrote the songs and recorded it I think on the same day, and the rest is history".
GW Williams also said," I am so very busy I haven’t even listen to my song in 2 years until last week…and I thought to myself judging my own song, you know….it is a pretty good song after all" !!

Yet I GW said that the song that made me famous is “Electric Rock Guitarist”.which was the main song on that same 2009 album.
