Most music buffs will recall Grad from his early years. Just out of high school, his band Kik Tracee was signed to RCA records. They had two releases, videos on MTV, and played shows with the likes on Bon Jovi and Joe Walsh. After changes in the music scene Rob formed a new band called Superfine. They caught the ears of Joss Whedon, creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, who made sure that one of their songs was on the soundtrack for the television show. To date it has sold over 300,000 copies. Rob was even featured in an episode during the show’s first season. To most, his life was completely on track, but he was battling with an unseen enemy in his body, a rare illness that nearly debilitated him. –That’s when Grad began a powerful process that changed his life and led to the “No Apologies” album.

“Changing my outlook and making this very honest music saved my life, there’s no doubt.” Declared Grad in a recent interview. Furthermore, as he purged the illness from his system, another talent emerged: mixed media art. The works that Grad began creating were as multi-faceted and layered as the journey of the human soul and when married with the music from the album, critics like Mike Davis from KRKC say “Reaches out and grabs you”, you have a transformational multi-media experience.
