MUZIQUE MAGAZINE SALES MANAGER

Muzique Magazine (www.muziquemagazine.com ) seeks a personable, creative, results-driven Sales Manager to identify advertisers and strategic partners, structure and close revenue-producing deals, and manage ongoing relationships. We’re looking for a resourceful person who doggedly seeks out focused opportunities. This is a full-time position, and we intend to hire a qualified candidate as soon as possible. The location is flexible for the right person.



Job Description:

Muzique Magazine Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in establishing strategic partnerships. We are a highly collaborative organization and seek someone to work closely and cooperatively with our current staff. The Sales Manager will report to the CEO and will work closely with the CEO, and other staff. This person will be part of Muzique Magazine management team.
This is an exciting time at Muzique Magazine and we’re looking for someone who can quickly build on the organization’s successes, playing a hands-on role in building the organization’s streams of earned income.

Responsibilities Include:

Advertising
• Develop and manage Muzique Magazine advertising program, including identifying prospects, developing sales materials, and overseeing all aspects of advertising sales.
• Produce surveys and other research vital to a successful advertising program.
• Supervise advertising sales personnel.

Other
• Work with teams focused on content, production and technology to implement solutions on the Muzique Magazine website and in email newsletters.
• Oversee a small but growing staff and consultants as appropriate
Applicants should have:
• 5-8 years of Sales experience, with a passion for closing deals and managing ongoing relationships
• Proven success creating reliable project budgets and financial models
• Exceptional verbal and written communication
• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Superior ability to multi-task, and manage multi-faceted projects
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office
• Ability to thrive as a member of a multi-disciplinary team

The successful candidate will be a self-starter with an energetic personality who is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Experience and contacts in the corporate, progressive, and media worlds are a plus.

- Prefer work experience with newspaper, magazine, or professional blog editorials. Will be working with music more than half of the time so strong interest in music is a plus.
A Plus: Be able to attend and cover night and/or weekend events.

MUZIQUE MAGAZINE VIDEO/PHOTOGRAPHER TEAM

What we're looking for:

Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate a passion for music and ideally already be involved in the scene in some way, even simply as a fan. We're looking for is people with a passion for music as well as motivation to write about it, and express their opinions. Your work should fit into our site style but you also have freedom to bring your own unique creativity and personality as a contributor. If you are a photographer, please include a link to samples of your work. If you are interested in helping out in other areas such as Promotions, please give details of prior experience.

Qualifications:

- Must own or have access to equipment to complete given work. (Must have HD capabilities)
- Work quickly and efficiently with a good eye for detail within given deadlines.
- Should have 1-2 years freelance experience or 2-3 yrs. experience in school.
- Located in or near major cities


Duties:

Direct, Shoot, and Edit 5 or more total videos over 3-4 month span that include:
- Interviews
- Event Re-Caps
- Profile Spotlights

As a Marketing Intern with Muzique Magazine, we are looking for someone who has:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong, independent work ethic.
- A “go-getter” attitude and is willing to reach out to others with a business professional mindset.
- Some marketing experience.

Duties:

- Developing and implementing marketing strategies and campaigns across several spectrums (including but not limited to) no cost, low cost, high end.
- Retaining and increasing readership on a monthly basis through effective marketing methods.

- Maintain Muzique Magazine Facebook Page & Fan Page
- Run 1-2 Successful Focus Group Meeting:
Running Focus Groups in which you will invite peers or individuals of similar age and hold a meeting to discuss current trends, interests, and feelings on reading publications.
