Initially Kirk and his girlfriend were planning to stay for Christmas to be around their family and friends. They realised that trying to make it to Australia in between the holiday season arriving for NYE would make getting an apartment very tough. This prompted the early departure. Kirk says "Aussie’s really take it easy at that time of year." However, After booking to leave in November some exciting projects started to take place and he has decided to stay in the great white north to see them through.

They expect the new site to be launched with limited selection by December in time for the Christmas shopping frenzy. With Kirk's ability to market online, his mom and dad could not be more pleased with his last minute decision to stay in Canada. "Being able to give back to my mom and dad that have done so much for me is awesome and just makes sense," Kirk mentioned. He also said with enthusiasm, "finally something to do with their business really interest me!" Moreover, he is working on a niche online business directory with a partners that could revolutionize the way people search for: what they want, when they want, on any search engine. Furthermore, Kirk's clothing line "idea" is being designed and will be presented to a US corporation in confidentiality early in 2010, looking to sell a licensing agreement.

When asked about winter Kirk had this to say, "With all that is going on here it was a tough decision to not head back and base my Carbon Copy Pro business out of Manly Australia for there summer. However, in a strange odd way I am looking forward to winter, almost like a kid does. It's not for the ice cold weather that comes to the city but to be able to play hockey in the rink or on the pond and snowboard. The refreshing temperatures will be a nice change."

Kirk plans to get down south for some sun, out west for extreme snowboarding and hopefully squeeze in a trip to see his mates back in Australia this winter. However, in the near future Kirk is extremely excited to see his team and the entire Carbon Copy Pro community in Las Vegas November 19th.
