The Touch Tanks for Kids Board of Directors Exploratory Committee announced today February 2, 2010 the creation of Touch Tanks for Kids My First Aquarium Contest. The idea was formed while the board was discussing Executive Director,Mike Martin, story about Dan the Turtle that he wrote for the University of Maine at Augusta Alumni Association's newsletter.

Mike Martin,Executive Director,Touch Tanks for Kids said this when asked about the contest possibilities.

" If having people recount their aquarium experiences motivates them to support Ocean Literacy and environmental education, I fully support a contest. It sounds fun"
