MY PRINCESS HATS SUPPORTS NATIONAL BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

Jupiter, Florida, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) October 24, 2011 -- Breast Cancer affects 1 out of every 8 women during their lifetime. That means there’s a very real chance that one of your loved ones, whether it be a friend or relative, could be battling cancer in the future. There’s no better time then now to help find a cure!

There are many different ways to show your support for breast cancer awareness and research:
*You can start by contacting your local parks and recreations department to see if there are any planned events (walks, jogs, runs) to support breast cancer survivors and charities in your community.

*A simple gesture, such as wearing a pink ribbon pin, or anything pink for that matter, also shows your support to those who have, are or will be battling the disease in the future.
*Buying items from the internet or from your local stores can also help. Many companies donate a percentage of their profits (and even match a percentage), to local, regional, or national non-profit organizations.
*Donate on your own to one of the many charities out their that do their best to support finding a cure.

One of the issues with donating to a charity is making sure your money is going to a legitimate source. The American Institute of Philanthropy, is a non-profit “watch dog” organization dedicated to recognizing the best charities. This organization rated and selected a few “Pink Ribbon” organizations they feel are worth supporting:

*Breast Cancer Fund
*Breast Cancer Research Foundation
*National Breast Cancer Coalition Fund
*Susan G. Komen for the Cure

So it’s up to you to help in whatever way you can. Whether it’s with your time, your money or your fashion. Get involved so you can help make a change.
