Naoufal Houjami appointed new chairman of Texas chapter of Modern Whig Party

WASHINGTON (Thursday, August 19, 2010) – The Modern Whig Party is pleased to announce the appointment of Naoufal Houjami as the new chairman of the Texas chapter of the Modern Whig Party. The Texas chapter of the Modern Whig Party (www.texaswhig.org) is one of the largest chapters of the growing Modern Whig Party.

The Modern Whig Party (www.modernwhig.org) is pleased to have someone of Houjami’s real world experience heading up the operations of the Texas chapter. Houjami has several years of experience in the entrepreneurial world in America; he is currently the owner of an established small business based in Houston. Houjami has international experience and background. Houjami’s education includes a Masters degree in Corporate Strategy, Bachelors in Finance and Engineering from Poly Finance Institute. Houjami is fluent in French and Arabic. Houjami is married and is the father of one child.

The Modern Whig Party (MWP) revival began as a series of political discussions among deployed American service members serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. When these men and women returned home, they realized that there is a substantial need for a mainstream, non-fringe political movement that caters to individuals that are not defined by ideology but rather common sense fiscal responsibility, strong national defense and a focus on education/scientific advancement over strict social issues among other items.

Speaking on his appointment and goals for Texas, Mr. Houjami had this to say; “In Texas we are determined to bring positive change to the lives of our fellow Texans and reinforce the foundations of freedom, democracy, and responsibility. It might take time but at the end we will get there because balance always takes place and the power is from the people to the people.”
