FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) September 27, 2009 --September 26, 2008 -- The Napa-based Adventure Boot Camp, a general fitness boot camp for men and women, created a team of boot campers and other local fitness enthusiasts to raise money for Cope Family Center by running and walking in the Napa River Rock and Stroll 6k Family Fun Run.
Napa Boot Camp Owner and Head Trainer Jeff Larson, CPT, RKC, firmly believes in giving back to the Napa community. Larson claims "We were so excited to see the success of this event! We are so proud to have such a giving group of campers that always go above and beyond in helping others." Rock and Stroll debuted on Saturday with Napa Boot Camp’s team of 27 participants ranging in age from 5 years old to 60 years old all walking and running all the way to the finish line. Larson goes on further stating, "The Napa community has become very receptive to our boot camp program and it is always an honor to be able to give back to a great cause."
Napa Boot Camp participant, Teresa D’Aurizio said “less than a year ago was unable to run around the block without stopping, today I was able to complete the 6k in 40 minutes! I am so glad we got together as a team and did this event.”
The Napa Adventure Boot Camp Team worked together to raise over $2,700 for the Napa River Rock and Stroll and the proceeds benefit Cope Family Center’s child abuse prevention program. In addition, several people in the camp had the opportunity to try something they had never tried before and accomplished the impossible – fitness can be fun! Tiffany Larson, Boot Camper and Co-Owner said, “This was a great day and the best part the camaraderie and social support of a group of people working to reach similar goals and we were able to share it with our children as well.”
Napa Boot Camp currently has three available training times 5:30 am, 9:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday - Friday all year long. Napa Adventure Boot Camp will offer a free 1-week trial to all newcomers and provides a results guarantee. For more information visit http://www.napabootcamp.com
