Naples used cars news: Buick and Cadillac sales see big jumps

(Free-Press-Release.com) October 9, 2010 -- Naples used cars dealers note that Buick and Cadillac are experiencing a big jump in sales. Sales have increased for nine months in a row and have more than doubled as compared to July 2009 when GM came out of restructuring from their bankruptcy.
Sales increases are partly due to new car offerings. Buick’s new Lacrosse sold at a level almost five times as high as in July 2009. In July, a total of 7047 Buick Lacrosse vehicles were sold. Cadillac’s new SRX crossover sold almost nine times as many as the previous model year. In July, 5723 SRX Crossovers were purchased.

General Motor’s vice president of U.S. sales operations says that people had put off buying new vehicles to replace their worn out cars. He says that they are now reentering the market. This has helped foster a high sales level for GM. A total of 199,692 vehicles were sold by GM in July 2010. This is an increase of 5.4 percent as compared to the previous year.
In August, Buick has a 94 percent increase in sales as a result of the newly launched Buick Regal joining the already popular Lacrosse, Lucerne, and Enclave. Cadillac also had strong sales especially in the crossover market. Their sales levels more than doubled due mainly to the popularity of the SRX. The new striking design of the CTS Coupe is doing its part to add to the popularity of the Cadillac brand.
