NAPO-WDC Announces the 2009 Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference for Professional Organizers

(Free-Press-Release.com) August 3, 2009 -- The National Association of Professional Organizers, Washington, DC - Metro Chapter (NAPO-WDC) will host the 11th Annual Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference for Professional Organizers (MARCPO) on Saturday, October 17, 2009. MARCPO is the Mid-Atlantic's largest venue that specifically targets professional organizers. The day-long event will take place at the Doubletree Hotel & Executive Meeting Seminar Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

The NAPO-WDC Chapter is recognized as the central resource in the area for organizing professionals. The chapter educates members in the techniques of organizing and in adapting their approach to the different learning styles of clients, and promotes the highest standards of ethics and professional competence. "NAPO-WDC provides many excellent educational opportunities for professional organizers, including MARCPO. My membership has certainly been a great benefit to me," says Chapter President, Judy Parkins.

MARCPO is open to Professional Organizers nationally and internationally, and to those interested in the profession. This year's program, titled "Broadening Your Vision: Expand. Exceed. Excel." will focus primarily on continuing education for Professional Organizers. The conference will provide relevant training to attendees, allow them the potential to gain CPO credits, and give them the opportunity to reenergize their business and network with their peers. Anonymous feedback from the previous year's conference was very positive and included comments like, "I was very impressed with the caliber of the speakers. As in years past, the conference will feature an on-site bookstore. NAPO-WDC proudly welcomes Barnes & Noble Booksellers of Bethesda as the MARCPO 2009 Bookstore. They will have available books, CD's, and DVD's related to the organizing industry. Always popular, the MARCPO Expo will again be comprised of a diverse group of merchants. Attendees will have the chance to get a bird's eye view of products and services pertinent to the industry and to view product demonstrations from the merchants who offer them.

The MARCPO Committee enthusiastically announces that Krista Green, entrepreneur, speaker, and productivity expert will be the Opening Keynote. Julie Morgenstern, author, media personality, and internationally renowned organizing and time management expert is this year's Closing Keynote. Additional speakers include Certified Professional Organizer and trainer, Lauren Halagarda and "The Ph.D. of Productivity," Meggin McIntosh.
