"Keeping the Peace" "Could your company or college be the target of a racial or gender discrimination lawsuit? Smaller companies are not immune and the risk is rising. The 1991 Civil Rights Act allows lawyers in employment bias cases to charge double their usual hourly rates and sometimes more. Not surprisingly discrimination cases are on the increase. In 2005 $378,000,000 were among the charges for nonlitigated settlements at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission alone. And over 30,000 lawsuits were in Federal Courts...not counting State cases.

The tests are reviewed in Mental Measurements Year Book and Tests in Print. The Cultural Diversity Test uses a combination of true and false questions, multiple-choice questions, an Attributional Style Questionnaire, Discriminatory Response Section and an Attitude Toward Diversity Scale to determine attitudes. The Racial Attitude Survey section askes questions about physical appearance,`ego strength (such as dominance, morality and control) and social acceptance about a race.."
