From January 14 to 15, 2011, the National Conference on Pesticide Administration was held in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. The conference summarized the previous situation on pesticide administration and made plans for the future. In 2010, bumper harvest of grain production continued while supply and safety of agricultural products were ensured. In 2011, regulations on pesticide administration, such as pesticide residue standard, pesticide registration, guidance to farmers, should be further amended. High-toxic pesticides should be controlled with strengthened law enforcement and supervision.
