The National Cooperative Parenting Center has scheduled it’s first of several 24 hour trainings on Parenting Coordination in West Palm Beach, Florida, November 12-14, 2009. These Parenting Coordination workshops meet the parenting coordination training requirement established by the new Florida Statute 61.125(4)(a)(2)(c) scheduled to go in effect October 1, 2009. “This legislation has been a long time in the making,” states Dr. Debra K. Carter, National Cooperative Parenting Center Director. “This has been a real team effort between the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar, the Florida Chapter of AFCC, the Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the Florida Psychological Association, and other stakeholders. It is gratifying to see that the cooperative effort by these professionals has resulted in legislation offering an alternative dispute resolution option for those experiencing parental separation and/or divorce, and affords a new measure of protection, support, and advocacy for the children involved.”

The National Cooperative Training Center has scheduled a second Parent Coordination Training program for Orlando, Florida, May 13-15, 2010. In addition, a four hour Florida Family Law Update training is scheduled for March 5, 2010 in Tampa, Florida. For further information about these and other trainings and workshops please visit The National Cooperative Parenting Center's website.

The National Cooperative Parenting Center provides services and training for parents, mental health professionals, and legal professionals in a number of vital areas associated with parental separation and divorce including: Parenting Coordination, Parenting Plans, Parenting Assessment, Family Law Mediation, Clinical Mentorship, Forensic Consultation and Expert Testimony.
