NCPE announces the release of a new online Organizational Profile to help organizations improve their performance.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) August 4, 2010 --
Colchester, Vermont – August 4, 2010 – The National Council for Performance Excellence is pleased to announce the release of a new online Organizational Profile workbook. The Organizational Profile is the most appropriate starting point for self-assessment utilizing the Criteria for Performance Excellence. By responding to the questions in the Profile, you will begin to collect data and describe what is relevant and important to your organization. It will help you identify potential gaps in key information and serve as a basis for performance improvement in your organization.
The Organizational Profile workbook collects your data and asks you to describe the following areas:
• Organizational Environment: your products/programs/service offerings; mission, vision, and values; core competencies; workforce; technologies; equipment/facilities; and regulatory/legal environment
• Organizational Relationships: your governance system, key customer groups/market segments, key product and customer-support service requirements, and key suppliers
• Competitive Environment: your competitive position, relative size and growth, and competitors
• Strategic Context: your key business, operational, and human resource strategic challenges and advantages
• Performance Improvement System: your approach to evaluation and learning
“The new online workbook provides the ability to have up to five users from one organization complete their profile into a web-based program,” NCPE Director Laurie Emerson says. “The workbook provides the ability to submit profile information in table and narrative form and to create a report that can be downloaded into Word by the organization. Organizations may select the Business/Non-Profit, Health Care, or Education Criteria.”
The completed Organizational Profile is a preface to progressing to a more detailed level of self-assessment either by the online Baldrige Express self-assessment tool that NCPE provides or completing a Baldrige narrative application. The Baldrige Express tool involves a cross section of staff who evaluates the organization’s performance according to the seven key areas found in the Criteria for Performance Excellence. An automated, comprehensive feedback report is produced upon completion of the assessment that identifies gaps, strengths, and opportunities for improvement planning.
