February 8, 2010

Koinonia Business Women (KBWomen) announces the first satellite KBWomen Chapters launching across the country for Christian women in business. KBWomen Chapters focus on networking and skill learning.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) February 8, 2010 -- (Olympia, WA – Feb. 8, 2010) - The Olympia-based organization, Koinonia Business Women (KBWomen), announces the first satellite KBWomen Chapters launching across the country on February 16th. KBWomen Chapters are monthly networking and business skill building meetings for faith-based women in business.

Koinonia Business Women’s first chapter meeting was held in Olympia, Washington, in September of 2008. “Because of our wide-spread online presence, we’ve had inquiries from around the world wanting to know more about what we’re doing” says co-founder Krista Dunk. “At some point, it became obvious that we needed to widen our vision.”

According to the Center for Women’s Business Research, 10.1 million firms are owned by women. More than 92% of Americans saying they believe in God (according to the Pew Research Center’s Forum on Religion and Public Life). Chances are that many of those 10.1 million, women-owned companies have leaders who are interested in business networking and learning with like-minded women of faith.

The KBWomen Co-founders, Krista Dunk and Tammy Redmon, are both Christian women and small business owners themselves who noticed that the community of Christian women in business had traditionally been an under-served population. “We became aware and concerned that there were no opportunities for Christian women in business to connect, network, learn, share wisdom, and strategize”, says Krista. “Yes, general business networking or trainings are available. Faith-focused fellowship is also readily available. We needed a place where faith and business comes together, and we believe thousands of other business women of faith desire that also.”

Cities where new KBWomen Chapters are launching include:
- Olympia, WA
- Renton, WA
-Mt. Vernon, WA
Omaha, NE
Jacksonville, FL (April 2010)

More information and pre-registration for attendees can be found at www.KBWomen.com/chapters.htm. KBWomen Members attend chapter meetings free. Pre-registrants pay $5 online or $10 at the door. KBWomen is also searching for spiritually mature Chapter Leaders with a heart to see other business women of faith succeed.
