National Social Science Award given to Renowned Writer Gary Beers

With Gary Beers to have already begun a Ph.D. of Psychology program and Northcentral University, it comes to no surprise, except to Beers, of him winning the National Social Science Award with the reliable and valid findings associated with the Beers Personality Stability Inventory (B.P.S.I.). Though the writer finds enjoyment in writing the multitude of genres familiar to us, he has studied human and animal behavior for the last twenty-three years with success. It was said of Beers that he cured a behavioral phobia that had plagued his best friend and senior editor, Tony Carl, who died in 2009 at their New York apartment. The phobia came to light when Carl was only three years old, after Carl and two other cousins played with a doll in which the head came loose and fell to the floor of the mattress. “I spent more than 15 years working with Tony on his phobia. He never gave up on my wanting to aid in in a recovery comfortable to him,” said Beers. The Award was given to the author after the publication of the Psychological Association of America recognized the enormous contribution toward the human personality as were made by Beers in the Inventory.
