NATIONAL YOUTH MARKETING AGENCY PLEDGES FUNDS TO CHARITIES IN SECOND ANNUAL "GIVE TO RECEIVE" CONTEST

Premise Immersive Marketing second annual “Give to Receive” contest is a viral online effort to bring awareness to two charities: the BOOST Scholarship Fund and the Challenge Athlete Foundation.

For the second year, the members of San Diego-based Premise Immersive Marketing, a full service marketing agency that builds positive connections between brands and youth, are gearing up to give. The team has selected two deserving youth charities for its “Give to Receive” contest: the BOOST Scholarship Fund and the Challenge Athlete Foundation.

For the next two weeks, visitors to Premise’s Web site can vote at http://www.premisemarketing.com/give-to-receive-2009/ to decide which charity will receive a $500 donation. The runner up will receive $100. Participants can help others vote via the Web page’s ShareThis application, allowing the contest to spread virally via e-mail, Twitter, Facebook and more. Voting is open through Thursday, December 31.

“We never stand still at Premise – really. Static isn’t our style,” said Gregg Witt, creative director and founding partner of Premise. “We prefer to do something more actionable than ordinary holiday cards. Instead, in celebration of the season, our online ‘Give to Receive’ contest encourages the public and our clients to choose who will get Premise’s special holiday donation and help spread the word.”

One potential recipient is the BOOST Scholarship Fund, which the Premise team selected because of their huge passion for after school enrichment programs. BOOST, or Best of Out-of-School Time, is designed to support professionals that work with kids outside of regular school hours. BOOST allows participating professionals to enhance their own development, while providing key opportunities for youth, families and communities.

As advocates for an active lifestyle at any age, several Premise team members were passionate about the Challenge Athlete Foundation (CAF). This foundation helps physically challenged people gain access to specialized athletic equipment, which is often cost-prohibitive, and to the enhanced self-esteem that comes from participation in sports.

Last year’s Premise “Give to Receive” contest, with winner Element Skateboards’ Elemental Awareness and runner up The Partnership for a Drug-Free America®, was a successful viral campaign that resulted in thousands of online engagements.
