Benjamin Harjo's "The Blessing" 2/500 print is available for sale.
The limited edition silkscreen, titled “The Blessing”, depicts a holy man (or Shaman) floating between the spirit world and the earth. He releases a prayer for both existences — those who have gone before and those things yet to be.
Ben Harjo was born in New Mexico and was raised near Ada, Oklahoma.
His Seminole Shawnee ancestry, and stories told in his family, influenced his early art experience, which he continued after high school at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe. He later earned a fine arts degree from Oklahoma State University.
Benjamin Harjo, Jr.'s contemporary Native American works of art are well known and displayed in public collections such as:
