FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) November 22, 2011 --
National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) is working in partnership with The Safer Food Group to offer fully accredited basic food hygiene training to nurseries for just £8.
Split into a variety of chapters, including personal hygiene, food poisoning and cleaning and disinfection, each section features a video and test to check progress.
The course is done entirely online, making it easy to fit into busy working schedules and learners will gain a Level 2 award in Food Safety upon successful completion.
Responding to the challenges nurseries are facing with budget cuts, NDNA is offering this training for just £8 for NDNA members or £12 for non-members. The high-quality syllabus is approved by UK Environmental Health Officers, fully accredited by Qualifi and nationally recognised by OFQUAL, the official regulator.
Stella Ziolkowski, Director of Quality and Workforce Development, said: “Food hygiene is an essential part of the role for any members of nursery staff who are preparing or handling food but with reduction in funding for nurseries, we wanted to ensure the standards continue to be kept as high as possible. By offering this course at a reduced rate we can help nurseries to get fully accredited, quality training, resulting in better quality care for children.”
