Need To Fix Your Bike’s Flat Tyre? There’s An App For That

- CycleAide iPhone & Android App Contains 28 Video Tutorials Of The Most Common Bike Repairs -

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) March 18, 2011 -- London, United Kingdom – 17 March 2011 – Ever been miles from home when your bike’s not working properly? Or worse yet, it’s raining and you get a flat tyre?

What if all the basic repair information you need was available to you in short concise videos in your pocket at all times on your mobile phone? Now thanks to the developers at AppCreatives.co.uk, they have teamed up with Mohteef to launch the CycleAide iPhone & Android App.

The app provides 28 different video tutorials on how to repair each and every part of your bike, conveniently divided into the main bike components – wheels, brakes and chain. It also serves up step-by-step guides on how to keep your bike well maintained.

Leon Girling from Mohteef commented: “The CycleAide app gives you a range of videos that will not only save you money, such as replacing your brake pads or adjusting your gears, but also help you perform common repairs on the go, such as fixing a puncture.”

As well as repairs on the go, the CycleAide app provides useful advice on how to buy precisely the right bike for cycling style and intended terrain.

There’s also an equipment checklist, where users can keep track of the cycle gear they’ve purchased – handy if any of this is lost, stolen or broken. They can also log a description of their bike, with photos, as well as input a detailed incident report in the case of an accident. Not only will this help if making a claim, but Mohteef has even located a top quality, experienced UK solicitor to assist, users simply submit the report and they’ll take care of the rest. Alternatively the incident report can be emailed to an insurance company or acting legal representative.

The CycleAide app can also be used to save details of all bicycle repairs and servicing history, which will help with budgeting and show the value of your bike, should you wish to sell it. The maintenance check guide provides reminders of which safety checks should be undertaken and when.

Users can even turn their phone into a front or rear light, for use in an emergency.

Russell Berry, MD of AppCreatives.co.uk responsible for the development of the app commented: “There are already very successful bike repair apps in the marketplace. But what CycleAide brings to the market is a fresh approach and the inclusion of the video tutorials will not only speed up repair time but teach you how to look after your bike saving you money in the long run.”

“There are still opportunities for all businesses in the mobile app space. By thinking differently and keeping the needs of your target audience firmly in mind when developing your app, the mobile app space can still be successfully penetrated,” concluded Berry.
Whether you cycle to w
ork, for sport, health and fitness or just for fun, CycleAide will serve you well and it will continue to grow. A further 14 video tutorials and step-by-step guides will be added after the initial launch.

The CycleAide App is available on both the iPhone and Android handsets. Download your copy and enjoy better biking today.
