Nerja Restaurant First Welcomes Autumn

Thoughout the cooler months the proprietors, Simona and Tina, will delight discerning diners with exquisitely prepared meals in their new premises, Restaurant First. Situated close to a long stretch of quiet beach, the restaurant is ideally situated for those romantic evenings.

The imaginative menu is constantly changing. With so many clients returning time and again this is a refreshing feature of this elegant restaurant. A sampling of the menu is enough to whet the appetite.

Soups and Starters

Iberian ham
Beef carpaccio with cheese and nuts
Homemade orange smoked salmon on roesti
Goats cheese gratinated with nuts on salad rucola
Home made mango soup with cream, soja and spicy king prawns
Cold cucumber soup with garlic, yoghurt and a fillet of lamb on a skewer

Fish Dishes

Scallops on fried baguette and beluga lentils
Fillet of salmon with spinach, pasta and pepper sauce
Fillet of sea bass and sea bream in its own sauce with a spinach – potato puree

Meat Dishes

Chicken breast fried in cornflakes with vegetable rice
Fillet of beef on a potato puree with paté of duck liver, roasted onions and a red wine balsamico sauce
Fillet steak with rasped black truffles, a chili chocolate sauce and blue potato puree
Fillet of lamb with a sauce of pee’s and mint and a potato gratin
Rump steak with green pepper butter, fried onions and potatoes

Deserts

Crepe with hot raspberries, flambe, ice cream and cream
Baked strawberries filled with marzipan, ice cream and cream
Home made white and brown chocolate mouse on a warm sauce of raspberries and tarragon

The autumn candlelit dinners are all reasonably priced and booking is advisable. Bookings are taken over the phone or by e-mail. Of all the Nerja restaurants this is one of the easiest to find being situated just to the west of Nerja close to the Hotel Marinas de Nerja and there is plenty of parking space available.
