FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) August 4, 2009 -- SANTA CLARA, Calif., August 4, 2009 – Net Optics, Inc., a global leader in intelligent network monitoring access solutions, today announced the company has joined F5 Networks’ Technology Alliance Program (TAP). By partnering with F5, the global leader in Application Delivery Networking, Net Optics gains access to F5 technology solutions and resources in order to maximize the value of deploying the companies’ products together.

The Net Optics 1 Gigabit iBypass™ Switch has been tested and qualified as an external “fail to wire” solution for single box deployments of F5 Networks’ BIG-IP Application Security Manager (ASM), an in-line Web application firewall. The iBypass Switch is a passive, in-line bypass switch that increases network visibility, improves network reliability and simplifies network management. The iBypass Switch provides both a fail-open network path in the event of power loss, and the ability to automatically or manually initiate and enable bypass mode should the appliance fail, or require maintenance, repair, or removal. The iBypass Switch provides businesses value-added features and options including media conversion, remote management, integrated traffic monitoring, and programmable Heartbeat packet parameters to monitor the ongoing health of the BIG-IP ASM appliance.

“Net Optics provides intelligent network monitoring access solutions that enable enterprises, service providers and government agencies to maintain continuous operations while improving their security posture,” said Bob Shaw, president and CEO at Net Optics. “Our customers value our commitment to helping them gain 100 percent visibility into their network traffic while streamlining the daily management of their network infrastructure. Partnering with F5 provides us with the opportunity and resources to enhance our value proposition for joint customers.”

Through the TAP partnership, F5 promotes assured interoperability and continued innovation with Net Optics, and provides a framework for ongoing collaboration.

“F5 is pleased that Net Optics has joined our Technology Alliance Program,” said Calvin Rowland, senior director of business development at F5 Networks. “We set the bar high, partnering with companies that provide a strategic benefit to our customers, as well as our business. Through dynamic partnerships with technology leaders in adjacent markets, F5 helps users extend the value of their application delivery environments, and joint customers can be assured of interoperability and optimized performance when deploying Net Optics and F5 solutions in concert.”
