FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) September 15, 2009 --
SANTA CLARA, Calif., September 15, 2009 – Net Optics, Inc., the global leader in intelligent network monitoring access solutions, today announced the company was selected as a winner of the 2009 Best Deployment Scenario Awards in the Information Monitoring and Filtering Solution Category by Info Security Products Guide. The Net Optics deployment of the Director™ data monitoring switch at InteropNet was selected for illustrating how a real world deployment can make a positive impact on security in today’s highly sophisticated and blended attacks environment. This prestigious award from Info Security Products Guide, the industry’s leading publication on security-related products and technologies, recognizes security vendors with advanced, ground-breaking security solutions that are helping set the bar for others in all areas of information security.
The winning Net Optics case study describes how Director, a multi-function high port density data monitoring switch, was deployed as the exclusive monitoring access platform for InteropNet, the largest temporary network in the world serving tens of thousands of users at the 2009 Interop conferences in Las Vegas, New York and Tokyo. Director was chosen based on the solution’s ability to connect any Gigabit or 10 Gigabit network feed to any monitoring tool, aggregate multiple feeds down to a single pair, relieve oversubscribed tools through filtering, reduce the overall footprint of InteropNet’s monitoring access solution, and provide remote visibility and control. Director enables copies of traffic from any critical link in the production network to be routed under remote software control to any tool in the network operations center (NOC), including state-of-the-art protocol analyzers, forensic recorders and VoIP analyzers. Director enabled the NOC team to view 100 percent of InteropNet traffic and gather detailed forensic data regarding the health of the network.
“The most powerful message security vendors can ever give to prove their capabilities and continued commitment in solving customer’s security needs is through successful deployments,” says Rake Narang, editor-in-chief, Info Security Products Guide. “Net Optics’ successful deployment at InteropNet illustrates that the company’s monitoring access solution can meet the high demands of tens of thousands of end users at a time.”
“Info Security Products Guide’s recognition of Net Optics further validates that our products and solutions fill the critical need for an intelligent monitoring access solution,” said Bob Shaw, CEO of Net Optics, Inc. “Without 100 percent access to network traffic, 100 percent security is simply not possible. Deploying trustworthy and reliable security solutions for our customers is the key to our success.”
