New Adult Art Classes And Painting Demonstrations At The Woodshed Gallery In Franklin MA

(Free-Press-Release.com) January 27, 2012 -- Franklin, Massachusetts: The Woodshed Gallery announces a new schedule of painting classes and free painting demonstrations for adults. Classes and demos will be held in their newly renovated upstairs classroom.

On Saturday February 4th Bruce Wood will present an acrylic painting demonstration, showing how he creates landscape painting with unusual color combinations. Kris Occhino will demonstrate her realistic watercolor painting techniques on Saturday February 20. Both demos run from 2PM-4PM.

Both artists will also be offering six-week classes for intermediate-level artists. Acrylic color classes start February 20th, and watercolor classes begin on March 6th.

Additional demonstrations by guest artists, and classes in other media will also be offered as the Woosdshed gallery’s education program is developed. The class and demonstration schedules are posted online at www.WoodshedGallery.com.

Bruce Wood, the gallery’s director, says “For several decades The Woodshed was known as an educational resource. My mother, Angelina Wood, started the program of are classes for adults and children, and it ran successfully until her retirement from teaching in 2000. Many of her students went on to careers in art, and are now among the most active and accomplished regional artists. I am proud to be reviving Angelina’s vision of making The Woodshed Gallery a regional art center again.”

The Woodshed Gallery was founded in 1968 by the late professional artist Angelina Wood, and continues to be a family-run business. They specialize in conservation picture framing, and also present a schedule of fine art exhibitions and art classes. The gallery also shows a selection of hand-crafted jewelry and fashion accessories.

The Woodshed Gallery is located at 1243 Pond Street, Franklin, MA, near the Medway border. Gallery hours are Tuesdays thru Fridays, 10AM-5PM, Saturdays 10AM-3PM.
