The emphasis throughout the book is "live for Today" and don't worry about the future, or about mistakes made in the past. Look forward to each new day; let each new day be a new adventure. Some of the topics covered are: enjoying life more, the power of enthusiasm, raising your happiness "set point," developing a "winning feeling," staying young, overcoming stress, developing a calm and peaceful mind, and why laughter is so good for you.
"You should definitely learn from the past -- particularly from the mistakes you have made," said Parker. "But don't rehash them over and over. Learn from them and forget them. Enjoy the day you are living in. Wake up in the morning with confidence, and a feeling that the day is going to be the best you have ever experienced. And, in particualr, live one day at a time. Finally, prepare for the future, but don't be anxious about it, and don't worry needlessly about it."
According to a spokesman from Stardust, "The book is easy to read, and with the pressures most people are experiencing in today's society, it is certainly relevant, and it should be helpful to thousands of people around the world. He goes on to say that "positive thinking, super-motivation, self-confidence, the miracle of persistence, and how goals can change your life" are all discussed in detail.
What one reader has said about the book:
"It should be an inspiration to anyone who reads it. It's a book that can be read and mulled over again and again."
