The Digital Collaborative is a strategic alliance of entrepreneurs that specialize in various aspects of digital marketing, development and creative services.
“What we have is a partnership of resources that can collaborate and provide support as each of us works with our respective clients,” said Michelle Hummel, CEO of Web Media Expert, LLC, a social media engagement agency, and one of the partners of The Digital Collaborative. “We all play a vital role in teaching, training and supporting the development of the digital community.”
The individual companies not only help each other in providing services they are uniquely qualified to perform, but also to brainstorm, share ideas and best practices, and engage with professional peers. The Collaborative will host “lunch n learns,” webinars, and other events for the community at its location on the 3rd floor of Longworth Hall (the space formerly occupied by the Brandery).
Adam Koehler of Reversed Out, a wholesale design firm and member of The Digital Collaborative said, “We wanted to bring together marketing and communications strategy in one place that has a boutique studio feel and value proposition.”
“We just haven’t seen enough of this sort of collaboration and partnership in Cincinnati,” continued Koehler.
“In a landscape that is saturated with freelancers and solopreneurs competing with each other, we felt it imperative to foster a sense of collaboration and community,” said David Richins, video marketing partner at the Digital Collaborative. “We feel that working together will create more innovation in Cincinnati and add greater value to our clients and agency partners.”
Members of the Collaborative already work with an impressive list of local and national clients, having worked with 3CDC, Procter & Gamble, Marshall Granger Jewelers, Ernst & Young, the Hackett Group and Unisys Corporation. Recently, after running a successful social media campaign, a Web Media Expert client was given the opportunity to appear on Good Morning America for creating one of the top 10 fitness apps as voted by thenextweb.com.
In addition to direct client work, agencies often use members of The Digital Collaborative to augment their internal resources when they are short of manpower, hours, or lack a specific skill-set or capability. The Digital Collaborative consists of Adam Koehler, owner of Reversed Out, a branding and web design firm, Cole Ollinger, owner of Ollinger Creative, a full-service marketing and communications consultancy, Michael Nail, marketing strategist and consultant, David Richins, video marketing strategist and consultant, Dan Bailey and Chris Ryall of AdVia Internet, a web development and digital marketing firm, and Michelle Hummel of Web Media Expert, LLC, a social media engagement and strategy firm.
“As a collaborative, we can offer companies and non-profits flexible access to the specific skills and knowledge they need to seize their most promising marketing and creative opportunities,” said Cole Ollinger.
