COURSE LOCATION The Northern Va. Training Center (UVA and VA. Tech Commuter Campus) is located on the ORANGE METRO line at the West Falls Church Metro stop. The campus is located just 400 foot-steps across the parking lot (go around the multi-level parking garage) from the Metro Exit to the front door of the commuter campus door (about 5 minutes walking distance. (Be sure to walk along the Left side the garage and not through the parking lot). This location is convenient to downtown DC and northern Virginia and is an ideal location for any course. Commute time from downtown DC is approximately 25 minutes by Metro to the campus front door, or 1 hour from King Street or Parts of Maryland.
FOOD The campus is located one-half block from an open air mall that has several eateries nearby, and a McDonald's just one block away.
PARKING The campus has its own parking lot charging about $5 daily (cash only) and across the street at the METRO has ample parking if using a METRO Card (there is no attendant, so you must have a metro card if driving. The UVA parking lot has an attendant.
REGISTRATION Be sure to arrive early enough to get settled, sign-in, and grab a bite to eat. Students must bring your receipt with you for sign-in unless your agency uses an SF-182, in case your name is not on the official sign-up listing. Your receipt will serve as your official registration online. Students without receipts and not on the registration list will NOT be admitted to the class. All students registered with an SF-182 shall bring a copy of the document to class for registration. All attending students will receive a certificate for 16 CLP credit hours at class completion.
