New Editor-in-Chief and New Online Format for Medical Veritas--The Journal of Medical Truth

(Free-Press-Release.com) February 1, 2010 -- Dear Editors and Others associated with Medical Veritas,
Medical Veritas (“veritas” is Latin for “truth”) has recently transformed from a hardcopy to online journal under the direction of Dr. Leonard Horowitz, the new Editor-in-Chief who also holds a Masters of Public Health Degree. Medical Veritas International (MVI), Inc., a non-profit public charity will continue to promote its journal whose mission is to discover and disclose the truth in health science, and restore objectivity and accuracy of reporting on matters critical to medicine.

Gary S. Goldman, Ph.D., founder and prior editor-in-chief of MVI, with the assistance of some thirty world-renown medical doctors, researchers, and Ph.Ds, oversaw the scholarship and production of the previous eleven hardcopy issues of the Medical Veritas journal (beginning with the first published in April, 2004). Medical Veritas has really made a difference in peoples’ lives. One toxicologist reports, “The peer-reviewed journal articles have been read by individuals throughout the world and many of the published articles have been submitted to courts and used in other legal settings.” Greater readership is to be expected now that there is easier access to the journal online (http://web.mac.com/len15/MedicalVeritas/Volume_7%3B_Number_1_January,_2010.html).
Medical and scientific manuscripts may be classified according to recognized quality standards such as the international Quality-of-Evidence-Ratings (QER). Under these standards, “rigorous methodology” and “independent” research are given the highest ratings. Virtually all studies used to support the vaccine-safety hypothesis are too flawed to be rated, only low grade QER-II-IV studies, or cannot be classified as “science” since their suppressed data prevents peer-review.

By providing honest research—including data, analyses, and conclusions--Medical Veritas, a journal free from the conflicts of interest of the pharmaceutical industry, will continue to serve public health by exposing medical falsehoods and by looking circumspectly at the available evidence.
