New Guide Available: Discover The Mohawk Towpath Scenic Byway

The Mohawk Towpath National Scenic Byway announces the availability of the latest edition
of A Discovery Guide: The Mohawk Towpath Scenic Byway. The publication provides
information about the many wonders of New York's legendary "waterway west," including the
Mohawk Towpath Byway's history; things to see and do; places to shop, dine, stay and
more.
Request a copy by sending an e-mail to admin@mohawktowpath.org or by sending a written
request to Post Office Box 90, Clifton Park, NY 12065. The guide is also available at the
Albany County Convention and Visitors' Bureau kiosk at the Albany International Airport
and at the Quackenbush Square Visitors' Center, at the Waterford Harbor Visitors' Center,
Schenectady Museum and Planetarium, New York State Museum, Cohoes Visitors' Center and at
a growing number of businesses along the Byway.
The Mohawk Towpath National Scenic Byway is a network of local, county, state and federal
highways that follow the historic route of the Erie Canal from Waterford and Cohoes to
Schenectady, NY. This year the Byway marks its 5th anniversary since being designated one
