NEW HYUNDAI OUTDOOR AD CAMPAIGN AT THE ICONIC TIMES SQUARE

Plaza Hyundai ,a leading Hyundai dealership at Brooklyn ,New York , wishes to share an exhilarating bit of news about the Hyundai brand. The new outdoor ad campaign of Hyundai Motor America is being displayed on a billboard at the iconic Times Square at New York. The billboard occupied by Hyundai, right at the heart of Times Square, is a cube shaped board with three display faces. The front display consists of two LED screens showing an updated stream of Hyundai video content, straddled by two vinyl banners. The very first Hyundai advertisement to be placed in Times Square features the Genesis Coupe.

The video display allows Hyundai to keep up with current news and trends and also prevents ennui in the daily commuters who will be seeing the billboard everyday. For example, an interesting video clip featured recently showed the 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe zooming down the well-known Road Atlanta racetrack, taking sharp turns and moving full throttle. A question flashes on the billboard: “What’s your excuse?” Viewers are prompted with: “But officer. . .,” then given a series of amusing options to fill-in-the-blank:

“I always drive fast when I hear opera!”
“I was trying to activate the flux capacitor.”
“I get muscle spasms in the leg.”


Today Hyundai is one of the world’s largest brands and is consciously looking at the biggest advertising venues, such as the Super Bowl, Academy Awards and the World Cup. Very soon, Hyundai will make use of text messaging to get viewers to send in customized responses and post them to the video board. Hyundai is exploring other interactive capabilities for the display, and will initiate new campaigns to ensure the content is fresh and topical.
