FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) July 19, 2011 --
An inventor living in India has designed and developed a jacket fitted with solar panels, which helps to keep the wearer warm in extreme temperatures. This is just one of a number of ways the designer has incorporated the use of solar energy in his products.
People are increasingly looking for ways in which solar panel installations can be used. Primarily, free solar power and free solar energy is used to create free electricity, which is becomingly increasingly popular as fossil fuels are starting to run out, and energy bills are becoming more expensive.
If you are interested in having free solar panels fitted to your property, so that you can benefit from the use of free electricity, as well as reduce your carbon footprint please visit Freetricity solar panel installers.
The inventor who was born and lives in India has created a special thermodynamic jacket that keeps the person wearing the jacket comfortable in extreme temperatures. Kranthi Kiran Vistakula integrated Peltier light-weight plastic plates with a thermo electric device to create the cooling or warming effect and the jacket is powered by rechargeable batteries which can be recharged using solar panels.
A Peltier plate works when an electric current is passed through a junction between two metals and on one side of the junction the metal heats up, and on the other side the metal cools down. The jacket has proved to be very successfully being tested in climates between -40° and 40° and even the inventor was surprised at how effective the jacket is.
But Mr Vistakula didn’t stop with the jacket, he applied the same technology to a range of other products which are now in development; shoes in particular have been successful when used by the army where frostbite is an issue. He is also interested in more wide ranging and industrial uses for the technology such as in agriculture.
The inventor is currently in the process of opening a multipurpose manufacturing outlet close to Hyderabad. The outlet will be producing a wide range of products designed by Mr Vistakula, such as his jackets, shoes, scarves, gloves and ear muffs too. He has even had an idea of making a special jacket for cows too! The thesis behind the cow’s jacket is that when a cow is kept cool during the summer months it produces a greater volume of milk- so is more profitable. He is still working on the design, which was an idea that he had when he re-located from his home of Hyderabad to Massachusetts where he attended the Institute of technology to undertake an engineering qualification. He said that he was quite unprepared for the change in temperature, which came as quite a shock to him.
