Now new owners Randi and Curt Beck are adding homemade pastries and customized cakes for something different at one of Fayetteville's favorite coffee shops, the Village Coffee House.
Coffee 'and' has taken on new meaning in the charming, comfortable Village Coffee House on Boone Trail Extension next to the Carmike WynnsongTheaters.
The cafe, which features a sleek, modern interior while retaining a comfortable, quiet atmosphere, will celebrate a 'soft' grand opening with a remote broadcast by Q-98 radio on Saturday, February 2nd from 1pm to 3pm. Various discounts, tastings and prizes will be provided by the coffee house and neighboring vendors. Attendees will have access to the relaxed seating area of the shop.
This family-owned coffee shop, now operated by Curt and Randi Beck, was initially designed to reflect the unique southwest and serve excellent coffee. Their daily roasts consist of an exclusive medium house blend and a dark Brazil French. In addition to premium coffee and espresso drinks, the shop also serves fine teas, smoothies, and other specialty drinks.
Now that the prolific baker Randi has come on board, Village Coffee House has taken on a new dimension as a bakery. Homemade, customized cakes are the order of the day, as well as an assortment of fresh homemade pastries and desserts such as pies with names like Very Berry and Upside Down Pineapple, Danish like apple, cherry and cream cheese, muffins named Toffee Crunch, Cappucino and Coconut Almond Joyful along with bagels, cinnamon rolls and much more.
Inside the shop there is a spacious seating area in the middle separating two raised areas that serve as group meeting spaces or work areas. In warm weather the covered outdoor seating area becomes a very popular place to people-watch, especially in the evenings when the post-movie crowds wander over for coffee and dessert.
Village Coffee House easily covers the spectrum of early morning professionals rushing off to work and the evening crowd unwinding from a long day.
