New Mexico Commission for Deaf & Hard of Hearing Awards Telecommunications Equipment Distribution Contract
Teltex, Inc awarded State contract to provide Telecommunications Equipment Distribution to New Mexico Residents.

Albuquerque, New Mexico – The Commission for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CDHH) announced that a contract was awarded to Teltex, Inc to provide Telecommunications Equipment Distribution.
The CDHH’s Telecommunications Equipment Distribution Program (TEDP) provides free amplified phones, TTys, assistive technology and smoke detectors to qualified Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Deaf-Blind and Speech Disabled New Mexicans. Teltex will specifically be responsible for the inventory, shipping, warranty, and repairs of the equipment the Commission for Deaf and Hard of Hearing’s TEDP distributes.
“Teltex’s successful track record of working with over twenty-five State programs makes them the perfect fit for New Mexico. The Commission has worked with Teltex for the last five years and has found their customer service to be outstanding.” said Shannon Smith, Interim Executive Director.
Individuals interested in applying for the Telecommunications Equipment Distribution Program can download an application from www.cdhh.state.nm.us/TEDP.aspx. To qualify for a free device individuals must be a New Mexico resident, have telephone service, have a documented hearing or speech disability and have a gross household income of less than $50,000 annually.
