NEW NONPROFIT ENCOURAGES MIXING OF ADVENTURE WITH GIVING

(Free-Press-Release.com) August 11, 2010 -- Richmond, VA [Aug 11, 2010] – The arrival of The Contribuventure Foundation marks the birth of a new breed of non-profit, one that exists not only to promote charitable giving but one which encourages, in fact requires, that participants execute adventures a part of the fund raising effort. While many organizations and websites exist to promote adventure sports and still others exist to encourage charitable giving no other site on the internet melds the two in the way Contribuventure.org does.

Registrants to the site fit into 3 categories: Contribuventurists, those who execute the events. Recipients, those who benefit from the fund raising. And Contributors, those who make financial and other types of contributions to project.

“We are really promoting the human-to-human connection with our events.” Says Executive Director Phil Dwyer. “Contribuventures work best when the funds raised are specifically applied to the needs of a single needy person or family and so that is what we encourage our Contribuventurists to do.”

Jake Allen who along with Mr. Dwyer co-founded the organization earlier this year adds, “The term adventure also has a specific meaning in our context. What is adventurous to me may be passe for someone else and vice-verse. Adventure is defined in large part by the Contribuventurist themselves and we encourage a journey of boundary expansion throughout life.”
